Superconductivity is a phenomenon in which the resistance of the material to the electric current flow is zero. Kamerlingh Onnes made the first discovery [1] of the phenomenon in 1911 in mercury (Hg) as shown in Fig. 1.Since that time, superconductivity has been found to occur in many metallic elements and intermetallic compounds.
